1. Classification, origins and habitat

The Korat is connected to Thai cat traditions and stories of luck and gifts. Thai cat poetry and modern registration and breeding records are different background sources. A similar cat in an old illustration does not establish every ancestor of a particular living individual from ancient times. It is distinct from blue-gray Russian Blues or Chartreux. Coat color alone cannot establish birthplace or pedigree.

2. Appearance and identification

Silver tips on short blue-gray hair, a face described as heart-shaped and green adult eyes are representative. Young cats’ eye colors and body proportions can change during growth. Shine depends on lighting direction and photo processing too, so do not make one image’s brightness a universal standard. The body is firm and balanced; simply saying gray does not complete differentiation from other breeds. Examine head, ears and coat texture together.

3. Behavior and way of life

Interaction with people and participation in play are described as tendencies. Quiet periods and choosing distance also belong to a cat’s life. The lucky-cat nickname does not guarantee constant gentleness or enjoyment of human touch. In unfamiliar surroundings, allow time to smell and inspect the area, leaving a choice to approach. Distinguish organizations’ general tendencies from differences shaped by each cat’s experience and relationships.

4. Observation, conservation and care

Care gently for short hair and check skin and body condition. Provide play, high resting places and quiet hiding spaces together. Do not universally recommend special products or supplements to preserve silver sheen. Check eye color, coat texture and head proportions in photographs, and verify lineage separately through registration records. Do not substitute another blue-gray breed’s image; connect the illustrated Thai Korat to the text with a source.
